Comments
Skied a loop on the glacier at the end of the Summit Creek valley (aka flat top glacier?). 850 m to 1800 m. Sunny skies today with a very cold N-NE light to moderate wind. Didn’t see much snow transport as it seems there is not much to blow around. Probed 3 m+ on the glacier. A few light whumpfs in the valley but this has considerably improved since the last time I was in this area a few weeks ago.
Lots of sledder traffic in the area and there were a few tracks in some steep (but short) E and W terrain.
Found some non wind affected snow off the west ridge of Taiya in the SE bowl.
Fast conditions to get out and didn’t have to use skins!
