Comments
We found lots of soft snow to ride at Barkerville. The stronger-than-forecasted winds surprised us. They were gusting up to moderate at ridge crests and we saw drifts building. With warm temperatures, -1 at Treeline, the soft snow was settling into a slab over facets. We didn't see any new avalanches or get results in our test profile. We did see a sled-triggered avalanche from the weekend. For now, we stayed cautious and chose to ride in mellow terrain away from any overhead hazard.
