Comments
AST 1 course tour along treeline towards Miller Ck, steady snowfall all day, 2cm/per hour rate of snowfall, with up to 20 cm accumulation by dark. This is settling into a soft storm slab, with cracking observed. Several whumpfs felt today, the first time in this area after a lot of travel, deeper in the snowpack. Light winds with no real transport at TL, but a lot of snow is available for wind transport and loading, and winds were increasing late in the day from the SW.
