At treeline (1850 m) on a southwest aspect, the hight of snow is 56 cm. Two surface hoar layers were noted down 29 cm & 27 cm, and a melt-freeze crust at 48 cm with facets below that - CTM 24 & 26 sudden planner on surface hoar down 27 cm & PST 38/27 End on surface hoar.
