First day in the last few that our Asulkan crew had vis to get into the Alpine. We travelled to the Young's headwall and noted a large few day old slough on climbers right. Digging, we got CTH 25 & 26 resistant planar 70 down on SH layer. We were somewhat surprised to see the SH on a wind loaded slope. ECT yielded no result. We chose not to climb the headwall and instead skied the 7steps (6?) below it twice; were rewarded with good powder skiing. No stability concerns noted while skiing other than one small slough of storm slab that was easy to manage. We did note what appeared to be a skier triggered size 1 avy on the Ravens in the distance.

We noted new SH developing most noticeably at treeline.
