Comments
With avalanche conditions improving we went for a mellow tour to see how things were. No obvious signs of instability. Rain crust under 10ish inches of powder was making skinning more difficult at times, especially on traverses. That disappeared around 17-1800m and the snow quality made for some nice turns off the top of the ridge. Snow coverage was just about good enough to make it back to the skin track at the hut switchback. Picking through some deadfall on a tough crust by then.
