Comments
A variety of aspects and elevations tested today. In a.m. windslabs easily cut below ridgetops or convexities in open trees. Slabs to 50cm deep and strong winds even below treeline. In ventures into the alpine, slabs to 70cm and some major sastrugi in the making with winds to 100kph. Variable winds with aome strong from NE in a.m. and rounding to SE and S by noon.
Best skiing in sheltered semi-open trees with up to 45cm ski pen. Snowing s4 for some of the morning and freshies right to valley bottom before temps started to spike.
Conditions could be good tomorrow, but expect slab formation to be quite variable...
