Comments
A grand day to be out. We did two laps on Sunny Side above the hut. The snow was great and has settled nicely compared to Thursday’s loud whumpfs on the same slope.
We dug on S, 1867m, 31 degree. 120 base. Isolated column: failed clean 60cm, 2 elbows. The shear was on 2cm of facets on top a hard crust (Nov dry spell) see pics. This cemented our approach of staying in the trees and not pushing slope angle. Pics also show some crowns off Planetary Pk.
