In specific areas in the ALP, February's polar vortex has created surface facetting in upper 20cm of snowpack with supportive WSl below. No signs of instability. No recent avy obs. Old LD and 1 Nc to sz 1.5 obs. (>72hrs) in ALP. We skied N-E asp. to 45 degrees. Elev. 1700-2515m.
