Comments
Nice day at Surprise Pass. 15cm of new snow in the alpine is hiding a variety of surfaces but generally providing good dust on crust skiing. Wind was moving a moderate amount of snow around throughout the day and starting to form soft slabs in lee features, though the only reactivity we experienced was thin cookies in the top couple centimeters with minimal propagation. Much more hazardous was frozen debris hiding under the new snow.
