Comments
A few obs from our AST class today. @60 cm settled snowpack where sheltered from wind at treeline. 5 cm recent snowfall has been wind loaded onto lee easterly terrain forming hard slabs, that cracked stubbornly with heavier loads.
We saw no new avalanche activity, temperature -5 with moderate SW winds. Most Alpine areas heavily wind hammered. Started to snow lightly as we wrapped up the day.
