• Open trees

We stayed away from:

• Alpine slopes
• Convex slopes
• Steep slopes

The day was:

• Cold
• Sunny

Headed up the first chute from the work site. Was surprised to find stiff, slabbing snow almost immediately past the canyon and up into the second chute. Nothing reactive that low down, no shooting cracks. Some pockets of good snow. But decided to turn around before the edge of treeline since riding quality would be poor. Headed over to the Tutshi area and enjoyed great, sheltered powder.

Met other skiers who reported 30 cm thick wind slabs immediately popping off while cutting a column in a pit in the chutes further up toward the lake.
