Snowshoe AST course for canada west mountain school. Several slabs noted on the mid Feb rain crust above de penciler lake. ECTP 24 dn 70 on FC BTL. Small facets present on this crust and causing localized whumpfing in the flats. Beautiful day! Heavy wind affect in exposed locations, mod to strong N winds most of the day.
