Comments

Toured up to Surprise pass and back down to the lake.

Snow was supportive for touring right up to the start of the last ascent to the saddle where we had to bootpack up. No signs of instability noted on south side of saddle. Ski quality down from the saddle ranged from great powder to crust before getting rocky near the bottom.

Band of rocks at the top of the run (as pictured) but easy to slip around them.
