Comments
Pretty good conditions for this time of year. Probing revealed 20 cm low density on top of thin rain crust. Another crust down 75 cm and the late October crust down 150 cm. total height of snow at treeline 200 cm. No snowpack tests done. No signs of instability no evidence of recent avalanches. Good coverage above 1000 m. Lower bit of the trail is challenging on the descent due to thin snow cover. Pass lake road plowed and in good condition.
