Rode Satan's choice down into twin lakes.
Climbing the west/back side of Munk the snow was 15-20cms of dry loose pow over unbreakable crust. It would sluff away from the skin track but never propagated.
Into Satan's choice the rap in went smoothly, I was expecting to be doing jump turns down crust but was surprised to find it pretty deep 30-45cm and soft in the guts of the chute.
I ended up not managing my sluff well and got caught and went for a bit of a ride.
The majority of the chute slid to size 1.5-2 and traveled 500m down hill. No slab, just all loose.
Be cautious of protected north facing chutes they could be holding more loose snow than expected.
