Comments
Note the snow study was made at a lower elevation with similar exposure. 2" top crust with 1ft powder underneath resting on a second, firmer crust over consolidated snow. Drum noises, cracking. Observed one broad fresh-looking slab avalanche on apparent steep wind-loaded west-facing slope just above treeline.
