Comments
We were skirting the ridge West of cirque lake, looking for an entrance to a couloir. We pulled the chute due to some tricky snow and time, so we opted to ski down an E facing slope that was wind hammered and was very slabby (sluff in places) alternating with hard wind slab/crust in other areas. Elevation was 2400m down to 1950m.
N and NE facing slopes nearer to the cabin were less wind affected and skied well; cold and velvety snow. Elevation of those runs was 2100m down to 1950m
