Comments
Had a fun day in the Vermilion Crossing area. The snow was soft powder on top of a harder layer about 10cms down. There was some isolated wind affect too, those north winds did not do us any favours. Starting temp was -27C, with the ending temp around -3C!! (Should be noted the snow did not seem to be reacting to this temp change yet)
While ski quality was good, the newer snow was running fast in steeper terrain with a little skier input. See the avalanche tab for more details.
We did not observe any other signs of instability. Play safe everyone!
