Comments
Observed a recent rider triggered size 1.5 in the alpine. Triggered on convex rocky NE facing ~40° slope with thinner snowpack and likely wind affected. Guessing a 30 - 40 cm crown about 5 - 10m wide and ran for about 30 - 50m.
About 40 cm of kind of well consolidated snow on about 100 cm of loose facets at treeline.
