Comments
Our outing today revealed minimal snow in the lower elevations near Cameron Lake. Over the last week, we received 60mm of rain, then 10-30cm of new snow, followed by extreme winds. Looking around, many slopes have been scoured to ground in the Alpine and into Treeline. Our progress uphill was hindered and ultimately stopped by the amount of exposed deadfall with only 15 cm of coverage at the 1600-1700m elevation. The road from Little Prairie to Cameron Lake has bare sections and was melting out in the sun this afternoon.
