Rogers Run/ Puff Daddy

• 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifting, or rain in the last 48 hours.
• Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.

7cm of new snow on yesterday's uptrack at the trailhead in the morning turned into 15cm in non-windloaded sheltered treeline for our first run in Rogers Run. Wind was then light to moderate from the west at the upper treeline. Rogers Run had many tracks visible from yesterday so we skied hard left and traversed into the gully at the first opportunity. That one had no tracks and skied really well to the bottom with 30cm+ ski penetration. Skinned up to 2360m to enter the far skier's left of Puff Daddy for our second run. The wind had then picked up to strong from the west, i.e. 50-60kph, at the upper treeline and lots of wind transport and windslab building was opening with some already in the 30-40cm thick range. We avoided the obvious windloaded features and found 40cm+ ski penetration in the gully we descended. Two tracks from yesterday could just be made out and definitely weren't felt while skiing. A soft storm slab was starting to form and very minimal cracking was observed. This run was amazing to the highway with tons of faceshots. It was snowing S1

most of the day. Once again Rogers Pass delivered the goods!
