Comments

Nov 5 rain crust supportive to boots at this elevation and aspect. Made for good dust on crust skiing, with 30cms of fist density pow overlying the crust. We were wary of any stiff windlsab atop the crust, however even in small lee features where we expected stiff windlsab, we found a density increase to only 4F, surprising given moderate-strong winds at high elevations night previously. This specific slope seemed relatively sheltered by crowfoot mountain against high-level WSW wind.

BTL travel still heinous on skis. No surprises there.

We did our last lap at 2pm when wind began to increase to high end of moderate, gusting strong from the WSW. Noticed an increase in spindrift and small natural releases size <1 out of steep unskiable East and North facing terrain in the afternoon. Observed more wind transport in the alpine in the afternoon. No new Na observed. Observations limited to ~2500m due to cloud cover.
