Comments
Did the North Joffre horseshoe over 3 days Friday-Sunday. Lots of other parties in the area. Conditions were as good as it gets - stable snow with cold and cloudy weather, with sunny intervals and small snow storms. Swamp is in great shape with good snow coverage. North aspects off the Saxifrage col, and on the Place Gl had conserved dry snow. SE aspect exit via Cirque ridge had conserved dry snow at high elevations, and melt freeze crust at low elevations. Forest is getting thin at low elevations and good travel conditions will not last much beyond next warm period.
