Comments
Weather conditions were perfect for a summit of Nch'kay. The day was a mixed bag of snow conditions but was generally good skiing particularly when the sun hit the snow on the glacier.
The glacier top was mostly rock hard coastal cement and sastrugi, so hard that we didn't even break out the probe. It wasn't icy though and made for good carving on the way down. We did rope up for when crossing the bergshrund and crampons + axe were pretty essential for the final section of the summit.
