Second day of Touring at the Icefields Pkwy. Started at sunrise up Parker Ridge from the Parker Ridge Parking. Did two laps next to the trees in the early am. Had a coffee and started a third lap at around 11:30. Weather obs on top of Parker Ridge by 1250: Scattered clouds, storm clouds slowly approaching from W, T -4,2°C, Precip Nil, HS 275, Wind M, S, PF 5. No avalanches observed during the trip, obvios ones visible on surrounding steep slopes in the alpine from days before (none on Parker Ridge though). We expected more activity with temps rising over the day but it actually stayed cool enough in the alpine. Riding was fairly good to great on certain northeast aspects.
Temps in the valley got above 0 in the pm.
