Comments

We initially planned to ski the treeline. As we progressed, snow appeared to be a big consolidated layer on the NE aspect. Cutting a quick block (not a full pit) revealed 40cm of warmth-freeze snow with a 2cm layer of fresher wind packed snow. We didn't observe any recent avalanche activity or snow instability but there were still signs of an older release in the North facing gully. Conditions were stable enough to go higher close to the summit. Riding quality was enjoyable with variable snow condition: hard crust and soft crust.
