Comments
A new layer of surface hoar is growing on the snow in many sheltered areas around tree line. Snow was soft in the trees but wind had strongly affected the open slopes. We had some repeatable compression test results on the edge of the open where buried surface hoar sat between a older windslab and a crust down 37cm. Further into the trees softer snow sat on the surface hoar and was less reactive.

We did note a size 1 windslab avalanche on a steep NE roll but drifting snow made it difficult to tell how recent it was.
