Awesome day up there. With the close highway to go to quartz. Gorman was simple and easy. Mainly rode the trees before the pull. Later in the day, vis got better and we pulled to the lake and then poke on the steep trees on the west side of the lake. One little windslab went 10-15 cm on a convex roll in between trees. Didnt poke any open slope in the alpine, as the confidence in the snowpack isnt there just yet. Seen many old slide that are getting buried with winds and snow. Some slide to the ground in some spot. Lots of bare rocks in the open bowls.
