Comments

Very wet and heavy in the woods down below 1400m.

Somewhat heavy powder in the woods up to treeline.

We rode 'Equinox', which is entirely north aspects; a solid heat/wind crust sat below 0-8" of dryish powder, wetter as we descended.

The skin track took us briefly onto the south aspect, which was a soft crust.

The sun was behind clouds all day, temperatures were stable with time and elevation.

No signs of instability observed. Minimal cornices present. Saw old slide debris on the N/E side of Joffre shoulder, size 2-3, running down to the lake.
