Comments
We stayed on mostly trails from Paradise Meadows to get to Mount Elma. After following Lake Trail up towards the peak, conditions were slow going with the amount of snowfall. At the start of the plateau, we measured a snow depth of 100cm with 30cm to the crust. It was quite heavy snow.
The morning was primarily snowing and by 15:00 it turned into calmer weather with some blue sky poking through.
The snow riding down Mount Elma through the trees did have some sections of little snow cover with the ground close to the surface. There were lots of tree wells and one cornice that we noted.
