Comments
Went for a look up Tumbling area. As expected very low tide down low. 30cm snowpack suspended on top of alders. Tough going all the way to the midway up slide paths. Unsupportive trail breaking, deep facets. Marginal support higher up from deeper midpack with good support up in the alpine. About 120cm+ in the alpine. Skiing was tough with a mixed bag of wind affect and deep facets. I wouldn't rush up there but skintrack is in. Whoomphing and drummy but midpack not strong enough for any real propagation. Surface facets sluffing easily in steeper terrain.
