Comments
Found surprisingly good skiing at the Gorge. Approximately 10-15cm of soft, faceted snow on top of a supportive crust BTL. More (closer to 20-30cm) in the alpine where not wind affected. Old wind slabs were not reactive near ridge top (NE aspect). Minor sluffing in steep terrain. Saw an old crown of what looked like Sz2.5-3 on NE aspect at TL that likely failed on the Dec 25 layer, the avalanche debris were well covered, so guessing it was more than 10 days old. No apparent signs of instability observed.
