Comments
Hard frozen snow made for difficult skiing up to the saddle. Once at the saddle the snow was softer with more sun. The snow in the shade was light and cold . In the sun it was wet and starting to get heavy at around 2:30 pm. I quick pit and shovel compression test produced a resistant sheer at around 90cm after hitting it with all my force many many times. Skiing some convex slopes lower down in the sun produces slight surface sloughing. Nothing dangerous.
