Approached base adjacent Trappings Creek. No new snow. Exposed snowpack, identified density 1-finger to fist. No propagating planar layers identified. Visible layer early season thaw / freeze / freezing rain layer identified +/- 130cm, could not trigger with any testing method. Ascended to just above teeline, no avalanche activity, or avalanche signs identified. Skied mellow slopes. Several open creeks and other terrain traps present at and below treeline.
