Comments
Beautiful day up on Elk mountain, the storm snow is settling nicely and is still cold and dry. We tested both SE and NW aspects, finding moderate resistant shears appearing at the storm snow interface. The fractures we produced in tests were not propagating. Some very light wind effect was evident on ridge lines and looking into the alpine. Large surface hoar is everywhere right now! Let's hope it gets destroyed before our next big snowfall.
