Comments
Snow was surprisingly good today. Lots of small wet debris from trees shedding ice. Main concern was cornices on north facing steep slopes. At pump peak there is only a small cornice, but in the surrounding area and at Tim Jones peak especially they are looming and getting very large. Know the terrain and when in doubt stick to the trees, the velvety look of an open ridge can be deceiving.
