After clearing 10-15 cm off my driveway in Calgary I was surprised by only 2 cm new in the area. The biggest concern of the day was the lack of depth of consolidation. At 2150m there exists only 70 cm of very faceted snow which meant that skiing was near impossible because of alder and near to ground penetration. We choose to ride our uptrack back to the car. A good New Year's stretch of the legs with no turns to be had.
