Comments
Overall the snow was hard and variable. South facing slopes were a bit softer but we didn't spend much time on them due to sun and warming. It looked like some of the snow higher up on South facing slopes may have melted and re frozen (see pic). The snow did not appear to be wet or melty while we were there. Surface Hoar observed at about 1800m (see pic).
