The day was:

Decided to poke up the illecillewaet for the day to avoid the balu pass ski resort. Asulkan side has skied nicely the past two days.

Meeting of the waters up track is okay. When it opens to the basin the creeks are still very much open and the alder very present. Travel was poor to say the least.

Above the creeks on the undulating terrain to lookout col travel was much better and same for snow. Probed about 65 hs at turn around spot. Slight solar affect noticed on steeper southern slopes. Some small, natural dry loose on very steep polar terrain.

Some light wind affected snow too at 1800. Managed to cut a tiny slab on a steep rollover.
