- Avalanche conditions
- Slab avalanches today or yesterday.
- 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifting, or rain in the last 48 hours.
Comments
40cm + of amazing light powder. Ski pen was about 30cm.
Easy to trigger avalanches on unsupported convex rolls...size 1 with ~40cm crown, at approx 1550m on north aspect of the Iago ridge shown in the image. Shooting cracks on similar features as well.
More effort (jumping rather than skinning) was required to create shooting cracks (but no avalanches) on supported convex rolls.
We did not see any other avalanche activity.
