Comments
Strong winds from the S/SW, snow could be seen swirling off ridges and cornices. Weather was pretty mixed, with moments of sun, cloud, and light flurries. Most snow in the alpine was wind affected and crusty, lots of breakable crust. Below the crust, the snow was moist. The top 150m below the summit held decent powder. Many open creeks on the road section of the approach, some of them are basically mini lakes now. It's possible to skirt around the side of some of them, but a few required skis off.
