Comments
We observed wide spread wind affect in the Alpine on steeper terrain this wind slab was about 10 cms thick but got larger as we ascended. We heard a load wumph and felt some significant settling which confirmed our decision to turn aroun as safely as possible and not go to the summit. Significant warming and solar on a snow pack which is transitioning from winter to spring made today a particularly challenging day to manage considering the moderate rating.
