Trying to save time, my partner I took a bit more risk than should have and skied the ramps down the N.E. side of St. Nicholas toward Bow hut. We did see other tracks of St. Nicholas off the summit ridge that didnt trigger windslab so we gave it a shot. Lower down around 2555m I tried to ski cut feature with thin Pencil hard windslab. In picture going from lookers left to right, made it all the way across slope to lower angle terrain with unsuccessful ski cut. First turn down slope and it popped above me and went for short 10m ride. Feature went full width. Definitely something to watch out for in higher consequence terrain. I was thankful I easily skied away and it didn’t pull a deeper slab. All in all should have went around and kept it mellow. Play safe out there.
