Spent a lot of time in below treeline and treeline terrain around 1900-2200 elevation. S, W and N aspects and slope angles up to 30 deg. No signs of instability observed. Boot penetration off the sled was knee deep in most areas. Wind was gusting very strong, lots of snow being moved around in exposed terrain and the alpine was scoured. Trace of new snow overnight and only a few cm accumulation throughout the day. Freezing level rose to at least 1600 m in the afternoon.
