Comments
Near surface facets from 10-15cm lay under a temperature crust of 4-6cm thickness. Windslabs to 10cm lay over these layers.
Strong SE winds moving snow across surfaces. Whumpfing occurring when temperature crust settled under skis while track setting.
If snowfall and temperature forcasts are accurate, this will be a very poor foundation.
Skiing on wind buff was OK, but viz was challenging.
