Comments

Skied Nak-Thar bowl. Had the full mix of weather during the day and a variety of snow conditions. Cloudy and snow in the morning, brief clearing with strong sun, strong SW winds in afternoon, ending the day in cloud and light rain below approximately 1500m. Storm snow was fairly heavy to start, some pinwheeling seen off of trees and steep rock exposures. Mid-day with the sun most steep slopes off the SE side of Nak had sluffing and lots of pinwheeling. Surface snow turned from precipitation particles to melt-forms midday, and started to freeze into a bit of a crust near the end of the day. Moderate blowing snow at ridgetop early afternoon. East facing slopes at treeline had pockets of wind slab.
