Comments
We had received about 10cm of new snow the evening before, roads were still being plowed by Banff Transportation. Out mode of transportation got stuck so the group exited and started walking back to intersection, Parks just closing the road due to blockage in traffic. Looking up, we spotted the bellowing clouds moving down the chute, we started quickly back up hill away from slide site. Clouds, wind and blowing sleet quickly filled the valley. Everyone was safe but very stunned at the event. Parks was made aware at junction.
