Comments
We found 15cm of recent snow sitting over a 40cm soft slab on Dec 16th surface hoar (SH) layer in three separate profiles 1200m-1400m and aspects SW-SE. Moderate SC compression test results were repeated on SH layer in all profile locations.
foot pen 60cm
No new slab avalanches observed and the SH layer doesn't seem to be active to skier triggers......yet!
