Comments
The upper snowpack had a series of wind slabs showing sudden results in easy snow stability tests with no results in a propagation test. The midpack had a thick melt freeze crust 65cm down (Dec 8). The lower 20cm of the snowpack was unconsolidated faceted snow and the snow depth was 110cm at this location. In a lower snowpack test isolating the Dec 8 MFcr, there were no results on the crust but there was a moderate, sudden result to ground on the basal facets. The observation was taken at 1300m.
